Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

This policy explains what personal information Willows Digital collects through this website, why, and what your rights are. I’ve kept it short and in plain English.

Who I am

Willows Digital is run by Mark Willows, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. I am the “controller” of the personal information described here. You can contact me about anything in this policy at hello@willowsdigital.co.uk.

What I collect

When you send an enquiry through the quote form, I collect what you type in:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your business name (optional)
  • what you need help with, and your message

If you email me directly, I receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

I don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and I don’t ask for payment details through it.

How I use it, and why

I use your details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if we go ahead, to deliver and support your project. The legal basis is that you’ve asked me to take these steps before entering into a contract (and, once we agree a project, that the information is needed to carry out that contract).

I won’t add you to a mailing list or send you marketing, and I never sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it’s kept, and who else is involved

Enquiries are emailed to my business inbox and a copy is kept in this website’s private admin area, so nothing is lost if an email goes astray. Both are hosted by my web hosting company, MilesWeb, which stores the data on my behalf and isn’t allowed to use it for anything else.

This website’s fonts are stored on its own server, so loading a page doesn’t send your details to Google or any other third party.

How long I keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to a project: deleted within 12 months.
  • Client records (contact details, agreements and invoices): kept for 6 years after our work ends, because UK tax law requires it.

Cookies

This website doesn’t set cookies for visitors. WordPress only sets cookies when someone logs in to manage the site.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask me to:

  • give you a copy of the personal information I hold about you
  • correct anything that’s wrong
  • delete your information (unless I have to keep it by law)
  • stop or limit how I use it, or object to it being used

Just email hello@willowsdigital.co.uk. I’ll reply within one month, and there’s no charge.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I use personal information, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
